This project comprised of a purpose built five bedroom detached bungalow with car port and extensive communal grounds and is classed as a Special Needs Unit which is home to Disabled Children.

The building incorporates 5 bedrooms, 3 with un-suite bathrooms and 2 other assisted bathrooms. also the building contains communal lounge, quiet room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, staff room and plant Room, all within a floor area of approx 265m2.

The building has been classed as a Domestic Property, with some special features.  The building has been built on a large raft foundation which has been positioned in the centre of the site. The external wall construction comprises of a traditional cavity wall with full fill cavity insulation, with smooth red facing bricks for the external skin, and the internal skin and internal walls are built from solid concrete blocks.

The internal walls have been finished with dot and dab plaster boards with a skim finish and then painted. The roof construction has been constructed using manufactured roof trusses, lined with breathable felt material and covered with tannalised tile battens supporting rustic coloured sand toft concrete tiles with a ventilated ridge and soffit.  All external windows and doors are constructed from white UPVC material, incorporating toughened safety glass with window restrictors.

Due to the nature of the disabilities of the residents both Assisted Bathrooms incorporate specialist baths, and also in Assisted bathroom (1) which is adjacent to 2 bedrooms has a large hoist which has been installed to aid with the bathing of 2 of the children.  Each room has been decorated differently as to the resident’s request, and the whole building has been finished in Vinyl floor coverings.

Externally the building boasts a specious car park area to the front, with a secure gated fence to both sides, concealing a private lawned garden to the side and rear of the property.
