NEWS FLASH****Ripon Civic Society, Highly Commended Certificate in Best Restored Building Award***Oct 2011

Know as Space Project - Phase II, work carried out on behalf of the church involved the insertion of a new mezzannine viewing gallery with disabled access, removal of a staircase to the tower room and new staircase access and other assosciated works.

The largest part of the works which all others really centred around was the installation of steelwork columns and beams to support the new mezzanine complete with timber floor joists and timber floor boards.

Once this was complete new timber studwork partitions were installed to form rooms on the ground and first floor with acoustic insulation and plasterboard/skim, then purpose made in our joiners shop new ornate glazed ash doors and screens were installed to the ground floor, and curved glass balustrading to gallery, and a secondary glazing to internal windows.

A new timber staircase with glass balustrading was installed to form the new main stairs. New lighting, power circuits and switching was installed to all new rooms aswell as new plumbing circuits and radiators to these areas.

NEWS: Alongside architect Paul Hewitt you (RBA Moody) will be presented with the Highly Commended certificate in the category Best Restored Building for the new gallery and narthex.... Ripon Civic Society August 2011
