Client: Diocese of Middlesbrough
Design Team: Harris Irwin Architects

Works to build the new extension to form a new Nursery was carried out on behalf of the Diocese of Middlesbrough in conjunction with Harris Irwin Architects.

The main construction is a traditional strip foundation with concrete slab and steelwork frame with masonry substructure. The external walls are in the main masonry with glazed timber screens and windows. The Steel Frame superstructure has a steel roof construction with metal composite clad roof.

Internally the extension was installed with a toilet pod and kitchen area, as well as wet play. All Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Installations were carried out to a high specification and “fitted out” with doors, ironmongery, architraves, skirting, kitchen units etc and decorated and carpeted throughout.

In addition to this works the adjoining classroom was fully refurbished and a new breakfast club facility introduced along with seating, kitchen and computer stations.
