The project to install a new mezzanine floor, working with City of York Council, was to provide the school with a new look dining room which provided more space, and update the setting with chrome and glass handrailing system.

Based on Steelwork drawings and to Engineers specification we installed new steel structure mezzanine floor, including internal access staircase and form a new external fire exit again from steelwork to engineer’s specification.

Associated Mechanical and Electrical alterations were required to allow the insertion of mezzanine floor and a level access through to cloakroom and form steps to bring room back to meet levels. The electrical wiring and lighting were set out to City of York Council high specification.

The new handrail system was installed to form queuing area to cloakroom and servery and edge protection to mezzanine.

A new insulated suspended ceiling was installed and new decoration and flooring were provided throughout. Other associated works included, new aluminium door from lobby, fire roller shutter from cloakroom to dining room and making good.
