Client: Diocese of Middlesbrough


In order to make way for the new extension as small element of site clearance involving removal of steps, garden walls, hard surfacing and planting and soft landscaping was carried out.

The construction involved traditional strip foundations, Sub-structures in the main in masonry, with a suspended beam and block floor, the external walls are constructed in traditional masonry with block inner leaf cavity insulation and facing brick outer leaf with some feature cedar panelling with Eco Joist timber roof construction with single ply membrane roof coverings.

The extension and lantern areas are “fitted out” with doors, ironmongery, architraves, skirting, kitchen units etc and will be decorated and carpeted throughout.

The heating installation is fed from the existing oil tank to an oil fired boiler that runs an underfloor heating installation. Power, Lighting and Data are also installed as requested by the school operating team.
