This development on behalf of Broadacres Housing Association and the YMCA is set just off Castle Wynd in the heart of Richmond Town Centre, consisting of eight 1bed apartments together with a small enclosed external courtyard. 

The foundations are a traditional masonry strip/mass fill unreinforced concrete footing with 175mm thick PCC Floor Beams with infill blocks, 100mm insulation and 75mm screed. The cavity walls comprise of a combination of 150mm reclaimed natural stone outer leaf, or 100mm dense concrete block wall with 25mm roughcast sand/cement render both with 100mm cavity fully filled with blown insulation and 100mm inner leaf block walls.

The roof structure consisted of Crest Wolds Natural Red double roll tile & La Roca slate on battens on breathable membrane, complete with 400mm of insulation. Rainwater goods are 100mm half round on rise and fall brackets with 63mm round downpipes cast aluminium to front elevation and upvc to rear elevation.

The Sash windows are constructed of timber frames with A rated double glazed units. Internal doors are all light oak veneered doors which are Secure by Design Compliant compliant.
The hot water and heating source for the building is four Combined Heat and Power central plant system which feed radiators with thermostatic valves, also bath taps are fitted with device to limit temperature to max 48 deg c.
